Frequently Asked Questions
What is the compliance floor?
The compliance floor is approximately 52 out of 100 on the Twin Ladder Standard — the minimum score we estimate an organisation needs to demonstrate adequate AI competence under Article 4. Scoring below this threshold suggests material compliance gaps that should be addressed before August 2026.
How long does the assessment take?
The Quick Scan takes about 10 minutes. The full 41-question assessment for the Standard or Executive Report typically takes 25–35 minutes and can be saved and resumed at any time.
Is the methodology open source?
Yes. The Twin Ladder Standard v1.0 is published under CC BY-SA 4.0. The methodology, pillar definitions, and scoring framework are fully open. Our proprietary value is in the assessment platform, benchmark database, and report generation.
Can I reassess later?
Absolutely. We recommend reassessing quarterly to track progress. Annual reassessment subscriptions are available at €290/year, which includes updated benchmarks and trend analysis.
What if I score below 52?
A score below the compliance floor means there are gaps to address, but it’s not a failure — it’s a roadmap. Your report will include prioritised recommendations so you know exactly where to focus first. Most organisations improve 15–25 points within 90 days of their first assessment.
How is my data used?
Your assessment data is used only to generate your report and, in anonymised aggregate form, to build sector benchmarks. We never share individual organisation data. You can request deletion at any time. Full details in our privacy policy.
